At ONSALE (loota.ca), accessible from https://loota.ca, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected and recorded by ONSALE and how we utilize it.
ONSALE is an informational directory and price comparison tool. We do not process payments, we do not require account registration, and we do not store credit card or financial information. All financial transactions occur exclusively on the external merchant websites that you choose to visit.
Like most web applications, ONSALE and our hosting provider (Cloudflare) follow standard procedures for using log files. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any personally identifiable information.
ONSALE may use local storage to remember your UI display preferences (such as price sort orders and filter selections).
When you click on an external link to purchase a product from Amazon or other retail partners, the merchant platform may place a cookie on your browser for sales attribution and commission validation purposes (e.g. Amazon's standard 24-hour associate referral cookie). These third-party cookies are governed by the respective retailer's privacy policy.
ONSALE's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we advise you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party platforms (such as Amazon.ca, Walmart.ca, BestBuy.ca, eBay.ca) for more detailed information.
By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
